Description For Linux Integration Engineer

Qualcomm China is seeking a Linux Integration Engineer to join their IOE division in Shenzhen. This role combines technical expertise in embedded systems with software integration capabilities, focusing on delivering high-quality software products to customers.

The position involves working with Qualcomm's location solutions and software, requiring expertise in embedded platforms and Linux systems. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving software quality, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with global teams to ensure optimal product delivery.

Key responsibilities include managing source code, build automation, and maintaining gerrits/CRs for Location software. You'll work closely with development and test teams to identify and resolve issues, while also contributing to process improvements and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of software development experience, strong C programming skills, and familiarity with embedded systems. Knowledge of build systems, source control tools, and scripting languages is essential. Experience with Qualcomm platforms is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities For Linux Integration Engineer

  • Work with Develop team and Test team to triage and identify re-occurring issues
  • Work with different toolsets to simplify and stream workflows
  • Work with Qualcomm's latest chipset offerings and tech teams
  • Maintain gerrits / CRs for Location software on embedded platform
  • Assist with management of source code and build automation
  • Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements For Linux Integration Engineer

Linux
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-3 years of SW development work in C or Assembly on embedded platform
  • Experience with compilers/linkers/make files
  • Experience on Qualcomm platforms for integrations
  • Familiar with source control tools (GIT, SVN)
  • Scripting skills (Shell or Python)
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
