Description For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a talented Low Power ASIC Engineer to join their team working on next-generation, high-speed memory subsystems. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with the world leader in wireless ICs and the largest fabless semiconductor company globally.

The position focuses on developing low power, high performance ASIC designs for mobile, automotive, compute, AI, and XR applications in sub-4nm process technology. As a Low Power ASIC Engineer, you'll be responsible for critical power analysis of design IPs for path to DDR, working within a fast-paced SoC team.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal power-performance solutions. You'll be using industry-standard tools like PowerArtist and PrimeTime PX to analyze and estimate power consumption, establish power budgets, and develop power models. The position requires strong technical expertise in ASIC/SoC design flows and hands-on experience with power analysis and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in power analysis and optimization, strong knowledge of high-performance and low-power designs, and proficiency in scripting languages for automation. You'll be working in an innovative environment, contributing to next-generation initiatives that power the majority of 4G and 5G devices worldwide.

Responsibilities For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high performance and low power designs
  • Identify key power use cases and work with verification team to create and simulate power tests
  • Analyze and estimate power for key use cases using PowerArtist and PrimeTime PX
  • Project power numbers and establish budgets at project outset
  • Build power models based on pre-silicon power data and validate against post-silicon measurements
  • Propose, enhance and maintain power analysis, optimization and modeling methodologies and flows

Requirements For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)
