Description For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., the world leader in wireless ICs and largest fabless semiconductor company, is seeking a Low Power ASIC Engineer to join their next-generation memory subsystem team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in sub-4nm process for mobile, automotive, compute, AI and XR applications.

The position requires expertise in low power, high performance ASIC designs with a focus on power analysis of critical design IPs for path to DDR. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology.

As a Low Power ASIC Engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development across various products. Key responsibilities include analyzing power usage, establishing power budgets, and optimizing designs for both performance and power efficiency. You'll work with industry-standard tools like PowerArtist and PrimeTime PX, while also contributing to the development of power analysis methodologies.

The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in power analysis and optimization, along with a strong background in ASIC/SoC design flows. You should be comfortable with scripting languages and have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high performance and low power designs
  • Identify key power use cases and work with verification team to create and simulate power tests
  • Analyze and estimate power for key use cases using PowerArtist and PrimeTime PX
  • Project power numbers and establish budgets at project outset
  • Build power models based on pre-silicon power data
  • Propose, enhance and maintain power analysis, optimization and modeling methodologies

Requirements For Low Power ASIC Engineer (Next-Gen, High-Speed Memory Subsystem)

  • Knowledge and experience with high performance and low power designs
  • Strong knowledge in ASIC/SoC design flows

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
