Join Qualcomm as a Staff Performance Systems Engineer to work on cutting-edge Snapdragon SoC hardware performance optimization. In this role, you'll be at the intersection of hardware and software, working with high-level operating systems like Windows and Linux to maximize system performance. You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive benchmarking, optimizing power and performance of gaming CPUs and GPUs, and developing sophisticated power management strategies.

Responsibilities For Performance Systems Engineer, Staff

  • Work on Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC HW performance with High Level OS like Windows, Linux
  • Conduct comprehensive performance benchmarking using industry-standard benchmarks
  • Analyze and optimize power and performance of gaming CPUs, GPUs, and compute components
  • Develop and implement power management strategies
  • Perform detailed system analysis to identify performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for power and performance validation
  • Determine relevant KPIs for power and performance studies
  • Analyze performance issues, bottlenecks and validate fixes
  • Interface with subsystem validation, competitive analysis, debug tools and SW teams

Requirements For Performance Systems Engineer, Staff

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Master's degree preferred in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
  • 6+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and cellular standards experience
  • 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
  • 4+ years of work experience interacting with senior leadership
