Physical Design - Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Physical Design Engineer for their Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India location. The ideal candidate should have good hands-on experience in Floorplanning, PNR and STA flows, as well as knowledge of Placement/Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS), optimization, and signoff domains. The role requires complete ownership of PNR implementation on latest nodes, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, and post-route processes. Signoff knowledge (STA, Power analysis, FV, low power verification, PV, etc.) is mandatory. The candidate should be a quick learner with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement PNR (Floorplanning, Placement, CTS, post_route, etc.) on latest nodes
• Perform signoff tasks including STA, Power analysis, FV, low power verification, and PV
• Apply knowledge of Unix/Linux and Perl/TCL scripting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Strong background in Floorplanning, PNR, and STA flows
• Proficiency in Placement/Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS) and optimization
• Understanding of signoff domains (LEC/CLP/PDN)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and Perl/TCL scripting
