Description For Physical Design Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Physical Design Engineer to join our innovative hardware engineering team in Bangalore. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology innovation with one of the world's leading semiconductor companies.

As a Physical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and optimizing complex electronic systems, working with cutting-edge technology in areas spanning digital, analog, and RF domains. You'll leverage your expertise in physical design, including synthesis, place and route, and sign-off optimizations, to deliver high-performance solutions that meet demanding PPA requirements.

The ideal candidate brings 8-12 years of experience in physical design, with a strong background in managing complex subsystems and small teams. You'll need deep expertise in low power design implementation, including UPF and multi-voltage domains, as well as a thorough understanding of circuit design and deep sub-micron technology.

Responsibilities For Physical Design Engineer

  • Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems
  • Bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems
  • Work on Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions
  • Drive physical design implementation and optimization
  • Manage complex subsystem development

Requirements For Physical Design Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-12 years of experience in physical design
  • Experience managing complex Subsystem and Small team
  • Experience in synthesis, PnR, sign-off convergence, including Static Timing Analysis (STA)
  • Experience with demanding PPA requirement of complex sub-system/SOC
  • Experience in low power design Implementation including UPF, multi-voltage domains
  • Understanding of circuit design, device physics and deep sub-micron technology
  • Good understanding of automation to drive efforts to improve the PPA
