Description For Platform Reliability, Availability, Serviceability (RAS), and Manageability Software Architect

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking an experienced Platform RAS and Manageability Software Architect to join their Data Center team. This role focuses on designing and implementing robust RAS and manageability solutions for cutting-edge compute platforms based on Qualcomm Oryon CPUs. The position offers an opportunity to work with world-class engineers in transforming the industry through next-generation computing platforms.

The ideal candidate will take on a technical leadership role within the product software team, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams including SoC, CPU, software, firmware, and software product management. They will be responsible for architecting a high-reliability software stack that minimizes downtime and ensures efficient maintenance cycles.

The role requires deep understanding of ARM architecture, RAS principles, and system manageability considerations. Key responsibilities include architecting RAS features, engaging with the ARM and OCP community, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership. Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience
  • 4+ years of work experience with Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Python)
  • Strong expertise in modern operating systems, ARM64 architectures
  • Deep proficiency in Linux kernels, RAS, System Manageability
  • Strong technical documentation skills
