Description For PMIC System HW-Validation Engineer

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

We are looking for applicants with 1-4 years of job-experience – relevant to various HW/FW/SW aspects of any electronic product development. They should be well-versed with knowledge of entire ASIC Flow (from concept-stage to commercial-product support).

Applicants should be aware of fundamentals of PMIC, Power Management, Microcontroller architecture, basic-firmware & HW-SW interaction. Applicants should also have strong hands-on lab-experience in Post-Si Validation. (HW-level Bench measurement and/or SW-level logs-based verification).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements
  • Perform Post-Si Validation, including HW-level Bench measurement and SW-level logs-based verification
  • Work on PMIC, Power Management, and Microcontroller architecture
  • Develop and execute test automation for HW systems
  • Lead and execute white-box validation efforts of HW modules or sub-modules

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on lab experience with various instruments like oscilloscopes, power supplies, JTAG debuggers
  • Good understanding of PMIC, Power Electronics, digital & embedded electronics concepts
  • Hardware Debug Skills related to DC-DC (SMPS, LDO) converters
  • Programming skills in C#, F#, Python, Perl, LabVIEW or other scripting languages used in VLSI/Embedded Domain
  • Familiarity with HW schematics and ability to trace interconnections on a PCB
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in automating test-cases via SW-control for HW-systems
  • Ability to develop high-level strategies and break them into mid-level flows and low-level tasks

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Assembly-language programming for microcontrollers
  • Exposure to tools like JIRA and GIT
  • Master's degree with specialization in VLSI / Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, Power Management

  • Proficiency in programming languages like C#, F#, Python, Perl, or LabVIEW
  • Familiarity with HW schematics and PCB interconnections
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
