Description For SOC/Computer Architect, Cloud/AI Data Center

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced SOC architect to work on next-generation AI products in the datacenter. This is a critical role that will help shape the future of AI infrastructure at one of the world's leading technology companies.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise spanning security, RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) and virtualization in datacenter environments. You'll be responsible for defining architecture and driving requirements from card/server level to full rack implementations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading architectural decisions for datacenter security, RAS and virtualization
  • Engaging directly with customers and ODMs to understand requirements and trends
  • Analyzing current AI server deployments and architecting next-generation enhancements
  • Designing for reliability, serviceability and high availability
  • Implementing hardware/software solutions for improved system resilience

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of hardware design and commercialization experience
  • 3+ years working with datacenter products (servers, accelerators)
  • Deep knowledge of datacenter infrastructure including security, virtualization, telemetry
  • Experience with scale-up and scale-out architectures

Responsibilities For SOC/Computer Architect, Cloud/AI Data Center

  • Understand trends in datacenter security, RAS and virtualization through customer and ODM engagements
  • Work with customers to determine HW and SW requirements
  • Analysis of the current AI server deployments in different datacenters
  • Architect enhancements required for deployment of next-generation AI products
  • Design/architect for easy serviceability
  • Implement HW/SW techniques for improved availability to mitigate failures

Requirements For SOC/Computer Architect, Cloud/AI Data Center

Linux
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years HW design, testing and commercialization experience
  • 3+ years of experience of working in datacenter related products - servers, accelerators etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of datacenter - security, RAS, virtualization, telemetry, power, cooling, lifecycle, deployments etc.
  • Good knowledge of scale-up and scale-out architectures
  • Willingness to work in a high-caliber international/multi-site team
