Description For Principal Engineer/Manager, CAD tools & Methodology

Qualcomm is seeking a senior leader to head their CAD team in Noida, focusing on delivering tools, flows, and methodologies for building complex SoCs in cutting-edge process nodes. This role combines technical leadership with team management, requiring extensive experience in hardware engineering and CAD tools development.

Responsibilities For Principal Engineer/Manager, CAD tools & Methodology

  • Managing all CAD functions in Noida – including front-end and RTL2GDS tools
  • Drive tools, flows, methodologies globally as part of world-wide CAD organization
  • Drive local EDA vendor eco-system
  • Be the interface to Qualcomm execution teams in Noida
  • Lead a 20+ CAD team in Noida

Requirements For Principal Engineer/Manager, CAD tools & Methodology

  • Masters in VLSI or Computer Science (preferred) or Bachelors in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (minimum)
  • 15+ years experience in development of tools/flows/methodologies in RTL, DV, synthesis, PnR or Signoff
  • Proven record of driving new innovative tool/flow/methodology solutions
  • Experience managing a medium sized team
