Qualcomm is seeking an exceptional Principal Enterprise AI/ML Architect to lead the strategic integration of AI and machine learning capabilities across our enterprise architecture. This role demands a unique blend of expertise in enterprise architecture, AI/ML, data science, and a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assessing current AI/ML capabilities, defining target states, and orchestrating transformations that align with Qualcomm's business objectives and technological landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture for AI/ML/GenAI initiatives
- Assess current state AI/ML/GenAI capabilities and design target state architectures
- Lead transformational initiatives to bridge the gap between current and desired AI/ML capabilities
- Establish governance frameworks and decision criteria for AI/ML and GenAI projects
- Create and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for AI/ML lifecycle
- Lead technology evaluation and process improvements for Experimentation, Model Development, and ML Ops at scale
- Drive standardization of LLM onboarding process, RAG pipelines, and application development
- Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments for proposed AI/ML solutions
- Utilize advanced data science techniques to propose enhancements and innovations
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven innovation
- Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines and AI/ML models
- Develop strategies for data governance, quality, and management
- Influence executive and senior leadership on strategic adoption of AI/ML technologies
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation in AI/ML practices
The ideal candidate will have:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, focusing on AI/ML integration and transformation projects
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling languages
- Proficiency in data architecture and AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and cloud computing platforms
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- TOGAF certification and ArchiMate 3 Practitioner Certification (preferred)
- Experience in the semiconductor industry (preferred)
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI/ML and data manipulation
- Strong background in information security architecture and data privacy principles
