Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Senior RTL Design Engineer to join their Hardware Engineering team in Chennai. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge SoC design and implementation technologies.
The position requires expertise in Logic design, micro-architecture, and RTL coding, with a strong foundation in Verilog/System-Verilog. You'll be working on complex SoC designs, implementing AMBA protocols, and managing various aspects of chip development from pad ring creation to timing closure.
Key responsibilities include developing RTL code for SoC components, working on constraint development, collaborating with verification teams, and ensuring proper implementation of low power design techniques. You'll be using industry-standard ASIC development tools like Lint, CDC, Design compiler, and Primetime.
The ideal candidate should have 3-6 years of experience in hardware engineering, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields. Knowledge of memory controller designs and microprocessors is an added advantage.

Responsibilities For RTL Design - Sr Engineer
- Design and develop RTL code for SoC components
- Work on constraint development and timing closure
- Collaborate with SoC verification and validation teams for pre/post Silicon debug
- Create pad ring and work with chip level floorplan team
- Implement low power design techniques
- Ensure proper timing closure and synthesis
Requirements For RTL Design - Sr Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Experience in Logic design/micro-architecture/RTL coding
- Hands-on experience with SoC design and integration
- Proficiency in Verilog/System-Verilog
- Knowledge of AMBA protocols - AXI, AHB, APB
- Understanding of SoC clocking/reset/debug architecture
- Experience with peripherals like USB, PCIE and SDCC
- Experience in Low power SoC design
- Knowledge of Synthesis and timing concepts for ASIC
- Experience with Multi Clock designs and Asynchronous interface
- Proficiency in ASIC development tools (Lint, CDC, Design compiler, Primetime)
