Qualcomm China is seeking a Senior Camera System Engineer to join their Camera Systems team, focusing on creating embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets. This role combines cutting-edge camera technology with mobile innovation.

As a Senior Camera System Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing auto exposure and tone algorithms, optimizing image processing algorithms for various hardware accelerators, and ensuring optimal camera image quality. The role requires expertise in camera 3A algorithm design, ISP pipeline understanding, and proficiency in multiple programming languages including C++, Python, and Matlab.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in camera and image processing technologies, strong Linux development skills, and a proven track record in mobile device algorithm development. Responsibilities For Senior Camera System Engineer
- Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement
- Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes
- Deployment and tuning support of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience
- Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance
- Design auto exposure / tone algorithm to achieve best camera image auto exposure quality
- Design image processing algorithm and acceleration on CPU/GPU/DSP
Requirements For Senior Camera System Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years working experience in camera and image processing technologies
- Expert at camera 3A algorithm design and implementation
- Deep understanding of ISP pipeline and brightness modules, mobile camera sensors and optics
- Linux SW development experience
- Hands-on experience developing algorithms for mobile devices
- Image signal processor pipeline design
- Customer support/camera tuning experience
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Matlab
