Senior Director, AD/ ADAS Systems Engineering (m/f/d) - Qualcomm Unterschleissheim

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Director for AD/ADAS Systems Engineering to join their team in Unterschleissheim, Germany. This global leadership role is part of the senior leadership team in the Automated Driving engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering the Qualcomm Reference Platform (QRP) product from systems, software, safety, and deployment perspectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading OEM and Tier1 engagements from an engineering perspective
• Partnering with core engineering leads to build a competitive AD product
• Driving future needs based on customer feedback and global deployment experiences
• Implementing and overseeing research, design, development, simulation, and validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions
• Ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met
• Overseeing functional analysis that drives requirements and specifications
• Leading multiple teams in system-level design and analysis
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute system design
• Creating overarching system strategy and translating it into strong execution plans
• Developing and implementing standards for system-level problem triage

The ideal candidate will have:

• Master's/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
• 10+ years of experience in developing and leading AD/ADAS products
• 6+ years of experience in a large matrixed organization
• 6+ years of supervisory experience
• 3+ years of experience interacting with executive leadership
• 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials
