Senior Engineer

Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is seeking a passionate Senior Engineer to join their Camera Software team, focusing on creating cutting-edge embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets. This role sits at the intersection of hardware and software, where you'll work on developing state-of-the-art photography and video recording capabilities.

As a Camera Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing new image processing features, developing drivers for advanced imaging hardware, and working with leading partners to build world-class camera solutions. The role involves implementing image analysis and processing techniques using varied accelerators including ARM, DSP, GPU, and advanced ML processors.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of camera/ISP fundamentals and a strong background in embedded systems programming. You'll be working with a team that creates solutions leveraging dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs and video recordings, as well as scene data for image analytics.

Key responsibilities include researching and developing camera features, prototyping complex solutions, and designing features that optimize power, memory, and silicon area usage. You'll be involved in the full development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring image quality and software conformance tests meet high standards.
