Description For Senior Staff Graphics Software Engineer

As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation gaming, XR, and AI experiences. Qualcomm Graphics Software Engineers architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support compliant and optimized drivers for Adreno GPUs
  • Work with software, hardware, and systems teams
  • Implement and support Graphics drivers for standards (Direct3D, Vulkan)
  • Develop state-of-the-art rendering techniques including Ray Tracing/Mesh shading and other DX12.2 features
  • Perform performance profiling in DirectX/Vulkan games

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 2+ years of work experience with one or more programming languages suitable for graphics (e.g., C++, C)
  • Strong C++ development skills
  • Experience with graphics APIs including DX11/DX12/Vulkan (12-15 years preferred)
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Experience with state-of-the-art rendering techniques
  • Performance profiling experience in DirectX/Vulkan games
