Sr. Automotive Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Process and Product Quality Assurance)

As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Software Product Quality engineering support for Automotive Software Products
• Conduct Internal ASPICE and Safety Audits to ensure conformance to ASPICE Requirements and ISO 26262
• Publish and track Software Quality Metrics
• Excellent written and communication and presentation skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience OR Master's Degree in the same fields and 1+ year of experience OR PhD in the same fields
• 5+ years of experience in automotive SW quality engineering
• Experience in conducting work product audits, process audits, according to ASPICE, process compliance with ISO9001:2015 and driving quality issues to closure
• Certified internal quality auditor (ISO9001:2015)
• Knowledge of industry standards / models – ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 9001:2015
• Experience in auditing Automotive Functional Safety, Automotive Cybersecurity
• Preparation and presentation of SW product quality status including SW product quality metrics, audit metrics, top quality issues and risks
• Experience working in matrix organizations, driving teams to process adherence
• Knowledge of SW development processes is a must
• Problem solving: Methodologies and skills, knowledge and experience of 8D methodologies, in-depth understanding of Root cause analysis methodologies
• Well conversant with statistical charts and data interpretation
• Experience in data-driven process improvement
• Experience in process documentation, and knowledge of process framework, hierarchy, guideline development
• Familiarization with Jira, Confluence, Stages, Codebeamer, Tableau, BI dashboards
• Experience in running Software quality CCB meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related areas
• Black Belt/Six Sigma certification
• Certified ASPICE provisional assessor
• Certified Lead quality Auditor (ISO9001:2015)
• ASQ (e.g., CQM, CQE or CRE) certification or equivalent
• ISO26262 FuSa engineer and ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity training
• 2-3 years of experience in software development preferred
