As a CPU Performance Modeling Architect, you'll be responsible for developing and exploring advanced CPU performance features, conducting detailed modeling and analysis, and collaborating with design teams to bring innovations to market.
Key responsibilities include analyzing workloads for performance optimization, conducting simulation studies, maintaining CPU architectural performance models, and working closely with RTL and design teams. The role requires expertise in various areas of CPU architecture, including fetch, decode, branch prediction, renaming, execute units, SIMD, load/store, MMU, caches, and retire operations.
The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of practical experience in systems engineering, along with deep knowledge of CPU architecture and micro-architecture. Strong programming skills in C, C++, and scripting languages are essential, as is experience with performance modeling environments. Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology is a plus.
