Sr. Staff Atlassian Technical Lead

Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Atlassian Technical Lead to join their Global Engineering IT organization. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of Qualcomm's engineering tools and processes.

The position involves leading the technical strategy and implementation of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, JSM) and Application Lifecycle Management systems that support Qualcomm's next-generation engineering innovations. As a technical lead, you'll be responsible for managing a team of 3-5 engineers while driving architectural decisions and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. You'll be working with modern, distributed systems in a large-scale, globally distributed environment. Your responsibilities will include driving the product roadmap, managing the backlog, and serving as the primary liaison to engineering across all Atlassian and Application Lifecycle Management tool sets for the enterprise.

Key technical aspects of the role include:

• Designing and developing interfaces and integration architectures
• Ensuring efficient data storage and processing
• Configuring, building, and testing application components
• Resolving complex technical challenges and performance issues
• Working with cloud services and applications (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

Leadership responsibilities include:

• Managing and mentoring a team of engineers
• Collaborating with global teams and stakeholders
• Driving technical strategy and best practices
• Making architectural decisions that consider total cost of ownership
• Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Strong background in full-stack development
• Extensive knowledge of Atlassian tools and ALM systems
• Experience with cloud services and distributed systems
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
