Responsibilities For Sr. Staff Vehicle Guidance Engineer

  • Provide leadership for the Automotive Vehicle Guidance department
  • Network with cross-functional teams and track industry trends
  • Develop and enhance technologies for autonomous driving
  • Research and develop novel algorithms for planning and decision making
  • Implement solutions in Python and C++
  • Establish and track KPIs for algorithmic strategies
  • Work with test engineers on validation plans
  • Write technical documentation and research findings

Requirements For Sr. Staff Vehicle Guidance Engineer

Python
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years industry experience in behavior prediction, planning, vehicle controls, and modern AI techniques
  • 5+ years of experience with Python, C++
  • Experience with robust software design for safety-critical systems
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experience with simulators for automated driving
  • Experience with vehicle path planning techniques
  • Knowledge of FuSa, SOTIF, and Cyber Security practices
