  • Leverage advanced knowledge of computer architecture and micro-architecture for CPU designs
  • Anticipate and solve complex problems for design completeness and functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications

Requirements For Staff CPU Physical Design Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years experience
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science preferred
  • 6+ years experience with high-performance microprocessor design
  • 6+ years experience with high level programming (C, C++), scripting languages (Perl, Python)
  • 6+ years experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools (Verilog, VHDL)
  • Experience with industry standard tools for synthesis place and route
  • Experience in simulation, emulation, formal verification, or silicon validation
  • 2+ years experience working in large matrixed organization
  • 1+ year experience interacting with senior leadership
