Description For Technical Program Management/Staff

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Management/Staff position to lead the development of cutting-edge Datacenter IP and SoC systems. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with the team behind the Snapdragon Elite X Compute SoC and Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile SoC.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and driving IP and SoC development, validation, and system integration alongside some of the industry's brightest minds. You'll be responsible for managing complex relationships among IP, SoC, SW, and system teams while ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and program management skills. You'll be expected to leverage your understanding of VLSI development cycles and IP core design to make informed decisions and guide teams through various development phases. Your responsibilities will include negotiating schedules, managing resources, and developing mitigation strategies for technical and programmatic risks.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Management/Staff

  • Coordinate, plan and drive IP and SoC development, validation and system integration
  • Negotiate schedule, scope and line up resources to meet aggressive schedules
  • Organize and lead interdepartmental discussions to set project milestones/schedules
  • Manage relationships among IP, SoC, SW and system teams
  • Troubleshoot program issues and develop alternative solutions
  • Determine risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Report to senior management on key development milestones
  • Develop processes to increase team productivity and efficiency
  • Manage teams through design, development, validation, test, and manufacturing activities

Requirements For Technical Program Management/Staff

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of Program Management or related work experience
  • Experience in chip development and integration
  • Strong IP core design & debug background
  • Technical domain expertise in VLSI development cycle
  • Track record of successful planning and execution
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of program management tools and processes
