Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a talented Timing and Technology Engineer to join our innovative team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge SOC products at the block/IP-level and system-level in 5nm, 4nm, and beyond process technologies.
As a Timing and Technology Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing best-in-class methodologies for timing closure and validation. You'll work closely with physical design teams, CAD teams, IP teams, and Design Technology Teams to ensure optimal timing performance across complex SOC projects.
Key responsibilities include performing Spice simulations for PVT corners validation, driving STA methodology using advanced tools like PT-SI and Tempus, and supporting timing sign-off for sophisticated SOC designs. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in understanding intricate timing paths (digital, analog, mixed signal) and timing constraints.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong background in ASIC design with 4+ years of experience
- Expertise in timing closure and STA methodology
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Perl, TCL, and C/C++
- Deep understanding of RTL to GDS digital flow
- Experience with industry-standard tools and technologies

Responsibilities For Timing and Technology Engineer
- Work with physical design team on timing closure
- Perform Spice simulations for PVT corners validation
- Drive STA methodology using PT-SI, Tempus and timing ECO tools
- Support timing sign off for complex SOCs
- Facilitate timing convergence process across the company
- Work on timing sign off specification for different projects
Requirements For Timing and Technology Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design experience
- Experience with Spice simulations (Hspice/Finesim/AFS/Spectre/Infinisim)
- Knowledge of timing closure and STA methodology
- Understanding of RTL to GDS digital flow
- Programming skills in Python, Perl, TCL, Unix shell, C/C++
- Experience with timing sign-off specification
