Description For Analog Design Engineer

Qualcomm, a global leader in technology innovation, is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer to join their BDC SerDes Mixed-Signal design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge high-speed SerDes PHYs and next-generation custom PHY designs for SoCs.

The position requires 4-12+ years of experience in analog circuit design, with a focus on developing low-power solutions for Qualcomm's wireless products. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technology in leading-nodes (finfets & beyond) and be part of a growing team involved in architecture analysis.

Key responsibilities include designing various analog building blocks such as LDOs, high-speed TX/RX components, bias circuits, and reference designs. You'll also work on analog and digital PLLs for frequency synthesis and SerDes applications, handling everything from schematic design to post-silicon bring-up.

The ideal candidate will have strong educational background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields, with proven experience in analog circuit design. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams including RTL, DD, PD, DV, and SoC verification teams to integrate PHY designs.

Responsibilities For Analog Design Engineer

  • Design multiple analog building blocks - LDO, high speed TX and RX, Bias, Reference etc.
  • Design Analog and Digital PLLs for frequency synthesis and SerDes applications
  • Perform schematic to post layout verification, integration sign-off to post silicon bring up
  • Work closely with RTL, DD, PD, DV and SoC verification teams to integrate the PHY

Requirements For Analog Design Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 3+ years experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 2+ years experience
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 1+ year experience
  • Experience in designing analog building blocks
  • Knowledge of PLL Loop Dynamics, Jitter sources and modeling
