Description For Windows on Arm Multimedia SW Application Engineer

Join Qualcomm's Customer Engineering team to work with leading Windows on Snapdragon (WoS) IOT device makers from design & development to commercial launch. This role focuses on multimedia software engineering, specifically working with display, audio, and camera drivers for Windows 11 on Qualcomm IOT products. You'll collaborate with global teams of experts to develop next-generation IOT products, providing technical support for PCIe, USB, and ethernet under KMD. The position requires strong communication skills to work with both customers and internal teams, offering end-to-end support for multimedia driver integration and customization. You'll be responsible for performance optimization, creating technical documentation, and providing customer training. Responsibilities For Windows on Arm Multimedia SW Application Engineer

  • Integration, development, and system debugging on OEM designs
  • Porting Multimedia (Display, Audio and Camera) driver according to customer specific request/design
  • Customize Multimedia software drivers for OEM
  • Provide multimedia performance measurement, analysis, and optimization
  • Create application notes, technical memo, and provide training to customers
  • Partner with external customers to understand requirements
  • Handle customer Q&A and work closely with internal developers

Requirements For Windows on Arm Multimedia SW Application Engineer

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering or Software Development experience
  • 1+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++
  • 1+ years experience with embedded systems
  • Experience in Windows driver development preferred
  • Experience with Qualcomm chipset software and firmware development preferred
  • Experience in WDM and ACPI is a plus
