Description For WLAN Automation Engineer

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a WLAN Automation Engineer to join their Test group for the Qualcomm Connectivity Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless technology and automation systems. As a WLAN Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks for Qualcomm's advanced WLAN chipsets, working specifically on products for Wearables, IoE, and Automotive markets.

The position requires strong technical expertise in WLAN/BT protocols and networking, with hands-on experience in debugging using network analyzers. You'll be working with state-of-the-art WLAN standards and features, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, WPA/WPA2, WiFi Direct, and more. The role demands strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and offers exposure to Qualcomm's comprehensive connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities For WLAN Automation Engineer

  • Design, develop, create, and modify test cases
  • Validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms
  • Automate features and testing Qualcomm chipset
  • Support existing automation framework through feature additions and maintenance
  • Work with Development team and cross-functional teams
  • Work on products for Wearables, IoE and Automotive markets

Requirements For WLAN Automation Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Good knowledge of WLAN/BT protocols and networking
  • Strong debugging/problem solving experience using network analyzers (Omni-peek, WireShark etc)
  • Deep Knowledge of WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards and features
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming or any other programming language
  • WLAN WIFI 6 Test experience (preferred)
