Qualcomm's Bangalore WLAN PHY team is seeking experienced VLSI Digital Design Engineers to spearhead IP development for cutting-edge WiFi standards. This role sits at the intersection of wireless communication and digital design, offering a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology.
The position involves working with a team of passionate domain experts who have extensive experience in taking WLAN PHY designs from concept to silicon independently. The team is responsible for the complete Tx/Rx DSP chains, handling everything from antenna samples post ADC to raw bits for upper layers and vice versa.
As a senior member of the team, you'll be working on sophisticated signal processing functions including filters, matrix transformations (QR, Cholesky decomposition), channel estimation, equalization (MMSE, MRC, ML), decoders/encoders (LDPC, Viterbi), demodulators, and FFT implementations. The role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be guiding junior team members while contributing to the development and enhancement of signal processing algorithms.
Qualcomm is positioning itself to become the global leader in WiFi chip solutions, and this role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of the WiFi revolution. The work directly impacts the development of high-throughput and low-latency applications, including emerging technologies like VR and AR.
The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of hands-on experience in micro-architecting complex IPs, strong expertise in digital design and VLSI concepts, and a proven track record of delivering power/area-efficient designs. The role requires proficiency in RTL coding, familiarity with QA flows, and excellent communication skills.
This position offers comprehensive benefits including world-class health coverage, financial planning support, wellbeing programs, and continuous learning opportunities. Join Qualcomm to work with leading engineering experts and contribute to world-changing innovations in wireless technology.
