Senior Software Engineer - Platform, Full Stack

Qualified is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Platform, Full Stack to join their engineering team. As a key member of the Platform Engineering team, you will construct and maintain critical systems that form the backbone of operations. You'll integrate LLMs, embeddings, and other AI technologies into the platform, enabling innovative product features and exceptional user experiences. Your role is crucial in ensuring these systems are robust and capable of supporting complex, real-time customer interactions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Implementing cutting-edge AI algorithms and architectures
• Continuously improving system performance and deploying optimizations
• Ensuring core functionality is stable, scalable, and well-maintained
• Growing technical skills to tackle tough challenges related to quality, performance, robustness, and reliability
• Mentoring other engineers and setting standards of engineering excellence
• Supporting highly-available, highly-trafficked services

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in professional full-stack software development, with a recent focus on AI/ML technologies
• Expertise in modern web application components
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, or Go
• Strong skills in object-oriented programming, systems design, and working with large-scale, low-latency systems
• Experience with SQL, RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred), and data warehousing solutions
• Strong software engineering practices
