Quast Ltd is seeking a PKI Engineer to support the OpNET PKI infrastructure for the MOD's New Style of IT (Deployed) programme. This senior-level position focuses on ensuring secure and reliable certificate lifecycle management across multiple security domains. The role requires expertise in PKI technologies, cryptographic concepts, and MOD security policies. Working in a hybrid model at MOD Corsham, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining PKI solutions, managing digital certificates, and ensuring compliance with strict security standards. This is a unique opportunity for a security specialist with DV clearance to contribute to critical defence infrastructure. Responsibilities For OpNET PKI Engineer
- Implement and maintain PKI solutions including Microsoft Certificate Services and Defence PKI (DPKI)
- Manage certificate lifecycle including creation, distribution, storage, and revocation
- Oversee PKI security compliance with MOD security policies
- Monitor and manage OpNET certification authorities
- Provide technical assurance and risk mitigation for PKI implementation
- Participate in Service Management Meetings and Security Working Groups
- Develop and maintain documentation for PKI operations and automation strategies
Requirements For OpNET PKI Engineer
- DV Clearance and UK Nationality required
- Strong knowledge of PKI technologies including certificate services, CEPCES, and NDES
- Hands-on experience managing Microsoft PKI solutions in MOD/Defence environments
- Understanding of cryptographic concepts
- Experience with certificate-enabled applications (SSL/TLS, authentication, IDAM, Code Signing)
- Knowledge of MOD classified CIS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
