Quast Ltd is seeking an experienced Platform Environments Engineer to join the NSoIT(D) programme, supporting the development and maintenance of MOD's next-generation C4 communications and information services. This is a hybrid role based in Corsham, requiring approximately two days per week on-site at MOD Corsham. The position focuses on developing and improving platform build processes, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability of deployed environments.
The role involves working with cutting-edge DevOps technologies including Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell for infrastructure automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining platform stability, implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, and optimizing resource utilization. They will work closely with architects and engineers to integrate new features and support platform development.
This is a contract position running until March 2026, offering a competitive day rate of up to £550 (Inside IR35, via an umbrella company). The role requires SC clearance and is only open to UK nationals due to security requirements. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within the defense sector, utilizing modern DevOps practices and tools.
The ideal candidate will bring strong VMware experience, expertise in DevOps tooling, and solid networking knowledge. They should be comfortable working in Agile teams and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Additional experience with Kubernetes, Python/C#, and SQL Server would be advantageous.
