Description For Applied AI Engineer

Quiq, a pioneer in enterprise agentic AI for customer experience, is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their fully-remote team. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Bozeman, MT, Quiq has established itself as a trusted partner for major brands like Volvo, Spirit Airlines, and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of automating customer conversations using advanced language models through Quiq's AI Studio toolkit. The role combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, focusing on designing, building, and deploying AI Assistants that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

The position requires a strong technical background with at least 3 years of application development experience and ideally some exposure to conversational AI. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration, while directly engaging with customers to understand and meet their needs.

  • Partner with customers to create reliable AI solutions
  • Understand customer needs and define technical requirements
  • Continuously enhance AI Assistants to meet and anticipate customer needs
  • Guide customers' AI strategies and contribute to the product roadmap

Requirements For Applied AI Engineer

Python
  • 3+ years in application development of technical products
  • At least 1 year developing conversational experiences preferred
  • Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Design conversational UX for complex business use cases
  • Experience with vector databases for AI pipelines
  • Prompt engineering skills including zero and few-shot techniques
  • AI orchestration and pipeline management
  • AI observability and instrumentation skills
  • Python programming and API integration skills
