Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for their Private Cloud Software Engineering Automation Software Operations (ASOPS) team. Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer III (R38)
- Support medium to high complexity application and system issues
- Work with multiple teams to ensure infrastructure and customer applications work together
- Analyze logs and metrics to troubleshoot issues and improve system reliability
- Work closely with development teams to maintain high availability of applications
- Coordinate, communicate, guide and mentor the team in DevOps activities
- Document processes, configurations and best practices
- Investigate new technologies, tools and processes
- Collaborate with other teams on systems automation
Requirements For DevOps Engineer III (R38)
- 5 to 7 years of applied experience as DevOps Engineer
- Experience with Software deployment activities
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with Windows and Linux infrastructure
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with Terraform
- Knowledge of Git version control
- Database administration skills
- Understanding of Networking, Firewalls, Load balancers
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
