Description For Lead Azure Data Engineer (Tech Lead)

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced Lead Azure Data Engineer (Tech Lead) to join their team in New York City. This role requires 10+ years of experience and focuses on managing modern Data Solutions at scale. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring expertise in Azure Data services, Snowflake, and Pyramid Analytics.

The role involves leading a team of data engineers, serving as a technical liaison between customers and offshore teams, and overseeing the complete lifecycle of modern Data platforms on Azure. You'll be responsible for designing and developing robust data pipelines, leading database migrations, and ensuring 24x7 production support for Cloud Data Platform.

Working from the office four days a week is mandatory, emphasizing the importance of face-to-face collaboration and team interaction. The position offers competitive compensation varying by location, ranging from $116,100 to $180,400 depending on experience and location.

Key technical requirements include proficiency in Azure Data services, DataOps experience, and cloud migration expertise. The role requires several certifications including Azure DP-203, Snowpro Core, and Snowpro Data Engineer. Leadership and communication skills are essential as you'll be guiding both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Oversee design, configuration, monitoring, and automation of Cloud Data Platform
