Rackspace Technology, a leading multicloud solutions provider, is expanding its Professional Services Center of Excellence focusing on Application Performance Monitoring Suites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join their Site Reliability Engineering team, where you'll work on implementing observability solutions using cutting-edge tools like Datadog, New Relic, and AppDynamics.
As a Site Reliability Engineer III, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable systems, implementing monitoring solutions, and ensuring optimal performance of customer applications. You'll work directly with customers to understand their business needs and technical environment, while implementing robust observability solutions that connect application performance to user experience and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings 7-14 years of experience in SRE/DevOps, with strong expertise in AWS infrastructure and observability tools. You'll need to be proficient in various programming languages and infrastructure-as-code tools, with a deep understanding of modern DevOps practices and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer III-IN
- Work with customers and implement Observability solutions
- Build and maintain scalable systems and robust automation
- Develop and maintain monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards
- Proactively gather and analyze metric and log data
- Collaborate with development teams to implement and deploy new features
- Document and share solutions
- Maintain understanding of customer's business and technical environment
- Identify performance bottlenecks and resolve root cause of service issues
Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer III-IN
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent
- 7-14 years of experience
- Senior-level experience with SRE, DevOps, and AWS Infrastructure
- Experience with observability solutions (Splunk, Datadog, SignalFx)
- Experience with AWS ecosystem
- Programming experience with Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Linux Shell
- Experience with Terraform or Cloud Formation scripting
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with Git and software development best practices
- Experience in agile software development
- Understanding of AWS pricing/cost models
- Understanding of network & system Management solutions
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication, critical thinking & analytical skills
