Responsibilities For AWS DevOps Engineer I

  • Automate deployments utilizing custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS
  • Architect AWS environment best practices and deployment methodologies
  • Create automation tools and processes to improve day to day functions
  • Educate customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architecture
  • Ensure control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment
  • Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks
  • Mentor and assist Rackers across the Cloud Function
  • Quality check development of technical training
  • Provide technical expertise in communications to various stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants

Requirements For AWS DevOps Engineer I

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • AWS Associate level Certificates
  • 2+ years of recent experience in Professional Services/Enterprise DevOps/CloudOps
  • Expert knowledge of AWS Products & Services
  • Proficient in Python, Linux, Shell scripting
  • Experience with git and git workflows
  • Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
  • Skills in Terraform/IaC and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible
  • Experience with GITLAB, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub
  • Understanding of monitoring solutions (AppDynamics, CloudWatch, ELK)
