Rackspace is seeking an experienced AWS Engineer IV for their Cloud Infrastructure Services team. This is a remote position based in Gurgaon, India, working permanent night shift. As an L4 AWS Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of providing expert-level technical support for complex AWS-based solutions.
The role combines strategic planning, architectural leadership, and hands-on technical expertise. You'll be responsible for developing cloud adoption strategies, designing enterprise-level architectures, and managing EKS clusters. The position requires deep knowledge of AWS services, infrastructure as code, and automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Key aspects of the role include leading critical incident response, implementing governance policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards like PCI and HIPAA. You'll also serve as a technical mentor, leading training programs and representing the Managed Services team in client discussions.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced AWS certifications, strong leadership abilities, and extensive experience with cloud infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including containerization, microservices, and emerging AWS services in AI/ML and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities For AWS Engineer IV-IN (Infra Support)
- Develop strategies for cloud adoption, migration, and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud operations
- Design and oversee implementation of large-scale enterprise-level architectures
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available EKS clusters
- Automate provisioning of EKS clusters using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Establish cloud governance policies and ensure compliance
- Act as final escalation point for critical incidents
- Mentor junior engineers and lead training programs
- Partner with DevOps, product, and leadership teams
Requirements For AWS Engineer IV-IN (Infra Support)
- Deep understanding of AWS core services and advanced features
- Strong expertise in AWS automation, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), and CLI
- Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices and networking
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (Preferred)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (Preferred)
