Responsibilities For Network Security Engineer I
- Provide support to project managers on security/network deployments
- Document planned and unplanned network events in tracking systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve network events
- Implementation of Gateway, Edge firewall and Load Balancers
- Lead the Netsec team in the absence of immediate manager
- Take ownership of customer requests and issues through resolution
- Participate and provide input to Root Cause Analysis
- Act as primary interface for clients on basic to intermediate projects
- Create and maintain fanatical support experience for customers
Requirements For Network Security Engineer I
- 2-4 years of recent network security experience with hands-on expertise in CLI and GUI mode
- Experience with network platforms (Cisco, ASR, Nexus, Arista)
- Knowledge of Layer 2 and 3 protocols (STP, HSRP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Firepower, Juniper)
- Understanding of network packet analysis and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of VPNs implementation and management
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS
- CCNP or CCNA Security certifications desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
