Description For Cyber Infrastructure Engineer

Raft (https://TeamRaft.com) is a customer-obsessed non-traditional small business focusing on Distributed Data Systems, Platforms at Scale, and Complex Application Development. We're seeking an experienced Cyber Infrastructure Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

As a Cyber Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Support installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency wide-area networks (WANs) and local-area networks (LANs)
  • Assist in designing and managing WAN infrastructure and related processes
  • Provide Production Support of the Network, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution
  • Offer second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Support dispatch of circuit and hardware vendors in the resolution process
  • Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

Requirements:

  • Three plus years of relevant hands-on experience
  • Networking experience
  • Experience or knowledge of Service-Mesh, such as Istio
  • Good knowledge of version control systems like Gitlab
  • Experience in software systems development using CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Java, Node.js, Terraform Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python
  • Passion for automation, system efficiency, and security
  • Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools
  • Proficiency in tools like AWS Cloud Services, Gitlab, Ansible, Maven, Gradle
  • Experience with Unit/Integration Testing
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum)
  • Obtain CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification within the first 90 days of employment

Highly preferred:

  • Experience with writing custom Helm Charts
  • Basic experience with Big Data
  • Multilingual programming abilities
  • Knowledge in automation languages like Python or GoLang
