Senior Cloud Engineer

Raft (https://TeamRaft.com) is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join their passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. This role requires expertise in managing cloud computing across various environments, including on-premise, hybrid, and commercial cloud. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer leveraging large-scale cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and working with agile and lean software development practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and securing cloud infrastructure
• Implementing infrastructure as code
• Mentoring junior developers and engineers
• Transforming large-scale software, data center, and/or on-premise infrastructure to containerized cloud-native architecture

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building declarative infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code techniques
• Extensive experience scripting (PowerShell, JSON, and Python)
• Ability to obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment
• Active Secret Security Clearance

Raft offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $170,000, along with excellent benefits including fully covered healthcare, dental, and vision, 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, education & training benefits, and more. The position is hybrid, based at Hanscom AFB, with up to 10% travel required.
