Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Raft (https://TeamRaft.com) is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. This role supports innovative federal and public agencies leveraging design thinking, cutting-edge tech stack, and cloud-native ecosystem.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will:

• Support installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency cyber controls for the software factory
• Assist in designing and managing security controls within the CI/CD pipeline
• Provide Production Support of software artifacts and the CI/CD pipeline
• Offer second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing system installations
• Providing design artifacts and requirements verification test results
• Developing and defining cyber performance requirements
• Revising Cybersecurity Procedures documentation in the CI/CD pipeline
• Executing DISA STIGs and vulnerability scans
• Documenting data flow of developed applications
• Fixing or mitigating vulnerabilities throughout the IAVM process

The ideal candidate will have:

• 6+ years of relevant hands-on experience
• Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies
• Advanced networking experience
• Experience with managing Service-Mesh, like Istio
• Extensive experience in software systems installations & configuration
• Proficiency with Log Management and Analytics tools
• Experience with Java, Node.js, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Python
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
