Senior Data Engineer

Raft (https://TeamRaft.com) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines to enable comprehensive data operations, from ingest to query. You'll use your in-depth understanding of data architecture, database management, and data processing workflows to ensure efficient and secure handling of data resources.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and managing ETL pipelines
• Building ETL pipelines for comprehensive data operations
• Working with Cloud-based systems and/or AI/Machine Learning Development
• Utilizing expertise in SQL and at least one other programming language (Scala, Python, or Java)
• Working with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, and more
• Collaborating in an Agile software development environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Extensive experience in ETL pipeline design and management
• Experience with cloud-based systems and AI/ML development
• Expertise in SQL and at least one other programming language
• Experience with a wide range of technologies and frameworks
• Relevant certifications (SAFe for Teams, AWS certifications)
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field

Raft offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $225,000, along with excellent benefits including fully covered healthcare, 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, and more. This is a hybrid position based in Colorado Springs, CO, with up to 10% travel required. An active Secret security clearance is necessary.
