Senior Software Engineer | Data Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team at Ramp, you'll be at the forefront of developing and owning systems that enable Ramp's reporting and strategic decision-making, as well as integrating machine learning models into operational systems and products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and maintain the infrastructure that enables Ramp to realize value from data.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Building and integrating components of Ramp's Analytics Platform and Machine Learning Platform
2. Developing tools to improve the agility and data experience for Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, Engineers, and Operations teams
3. Creating batch and streaming data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies like Airflow, Snowflake, ClickHouse, and Kafka
4. Collaborating with stakeholder teams to build and productionize analytical products and machine learning systems
5. Ensuring all systems are reliable, scalable, maintainable, and cost-efficient across the stack

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

• Experience with workflow orchestrators like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Expertise in building infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
• A solid intuition for analytics and machine learning concepts
• Proficiency in Python programming
• A track record of building highly reliable infrastructure for data storage and processing

Additional skills that would be beneficial include:

• Expertise with AWS
• Experience building online machine learning systems and feature stores
• Familiarity with Terraform and Datadog
• Experience with building streaming systems
