Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer at RareCircles, you will be responsible for:

• Researching, designing, and developing systems of upstream services leveraging the latest back-end technologies
• Evaluating the application of new tools & technologies as they continually evolve
• Maintaining and extending existing services to support our downstream applications
• Maintaining and scaling our existing cloud infrastructure
• Helping to promote best practices within the team

The ideal candidate should have:

• 4+ years of experience building highly optimized back-end solutions in Golang, Protobuf, gRPC, and GraphQL
• 2+ years of experience in managing resources in Google Cloud Platform using Terraform IAC (or similar)
• Experience in managing a Kubernetes cluster
• Experience building back-end APIS and integrations to CRMs (Zapier, Quickbooks, Hubspot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of common algorithms and data structures
• Experience building reliable, performant, maintainable, and testable code with proper abstraction
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Proficiency in English with good writing and communication skills
