Description For Experienced Stress Analysis Engineer

Answer Engineering, a Re Manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer to join their team in Englewood, CO. This role involves designing and analyzing aerospace structures, leading teams of younger engineers, and working on projects from concept to flight. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in aerospace or space stress analysis engineering, proficiency in CAD and Finite Element Analysis programs, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze primary and secondary aerospace structures and systems
  • Create and deliver Finite Element models, results, and presentations to customers
  • Communicate across engineering disciplines to make program-critical decisions
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with other engineers
  • Manage schedules and tasks to meet and exceed expectations
  • Develop supporting material for analysis such as finite element models and optimization trades
  • Support and collaborate with program management, design, and manufacturing teams

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in aerospace or space stress analysis engineering
  • Engineering degree, preferably in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Demonstrated experience designing composite and metallic parts and assemblies
  • Proficiency with FEMAP, NASTRAN, or equivalent software packages
  • Experience with dynamic and thermal analysis
  • Familiarity with CAD packages such as Catia or Solidworks
  • Knowledge of classic hand analysis methods and laminate plate theory
  • Working knowledge of aerospace materials and fabrication techniques
