Re Manufacturing is seeking an outstanding Senior Machining Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves conducting pre-order and post-order technical reviews, developing flawless machining strategies, estimating cycle times, and providing world-class technical support to CNC programming and machining operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting technical reviews of customer drawings, models, and specifications
- Providing feedback on manufacturability, including DFM input on customer designs
- Determining and establishing machining strategies
- Evaluating customer and industry specifications
- Developing machining cycle time estimates
- Designing custom work holding fixtures
- Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality personnel
- Supporting improvement of programs and processes on the manufacturing floor
- Promoting a team culture that emphasizes personnel growth and development
The ideal candidate should have:
- A 4-year engineering or technology degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a precision metals machining production environment
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis milling equipment
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and generating CAD models and assemblies
- Solid understanding of and experience applying GD&T
- Familiarity with industry process and material specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
