Description For Senior Machining Engineer

Re Manufacturing is seeking an outstanding Senior Machining Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves conducting pre-order and post-order technical reviews, developing flawless machining strategies, estimating cycle times, and providing world-class technical support to CNC programming and machining operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting technical reviews of customer drawings, models, and specifications
  • Providing feedback on manufacturability, including DFM input on customer designs
  • Determining and establishing machining strategies
  • Evaluating customer and industry specifications
  • Developing machining cycle time estimates
  • Designing custom work holding fixtures
  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality personnel
  • Supporting improvement of programs and processes on the manufacturing floor
  • Promoting a team culture that emphasizes personnel growth and development

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A 4-year engineering or technology degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a precision metals machining production environment
  • Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis milling equipment
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and generating CAD models and assemblies
  • Solid understanding of and experience applying GD&T
  • Familiarity with industry process and material specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
