Senior Machining Engineer

Re Manufacturing is seeking an outstanding Senior Machining Engineer to join their dynamic team at Cutting Dynamics, LLC in Avon, Ohio. This role involves conducting technical reviews, developing machining strategies, estimating cycle times, and providing world-class support to CNC programming and machining operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting technical reviews of customer drawings, models, and specifications
• Providing feedback on manufacturability and DFM input
• Determining machining strategies and sequences
• Evaluating customer and industry specifications
• Developing cycle time estimates and material stock recommendations
• Designing custom work holding fixtures
• Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality personnel
• Supporting program improvements on the manufacturing floor
• Developing standard methodologies for the department

The ideal candidate should have:

• A 4-year engineering or technology degree
• Minimum 15 years of experience in precision metals machining production
• Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis milling equipment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD modeling
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Familiarity with industry process and material specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
