Recorded Future, the world's most advanced and largest intelligence company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for their Threat Intelligence Team within the R&D organization. With 1,000 intelligence professionals, over $300M in sales, and serving over 1,800 clients worldwide, Recorded Future offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge security intelligence solutions.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll join a talented team of engineers in a dynamic environment, working on complex challenges in threat intelligence. You'll be responsible for developing and improving the web application module that serves various types of data, helping clients stay on top of threats to their business. The role involves working in cross-functional delivery teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, and QA professionals to create efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and useful products.

Key responsibilities include working on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation for threat prioritization, continuously designing and deploying features with a focus on high availability and scalability, and collaborating with product teams to understand and deliver expected results. You'll also be involved in selecting optimal methods for obtaining solutions, measuring and evaluating system metrics, and supporting DevOps and MLOps activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in technical lead roles, with expertise in languages such as Scala, Java, and Python. Proficiency in React JS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS is highly valued. Experience with data analytics, API development, and working in agile teams is essential. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach others and influence an engineering organization, are crucial.

Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer, Threat Intelligence

  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation for threat prioritization
  • Continuously design, develop, and deploy features with a focus on high availability, great quality, low latency, and scalability
  • Work together with our product teams to understand and deliver expected results
  • Select optimal methods and techniques for obtaining solutions alongside technical coordination of efforts within the Product Team
  • Measure and evaluate features and system metrics to continuously improve data quality and service performance
  • Support DevOps and MLOps activities
  • Contribute broad expertise or unique knowledge to the development of company technical objectives
