Description For Sales Engineer II, Japan

As a Sales Engineer at Recorded Future, you'll work with our growth sales team and deployment engineers in pre-sales situations to solve challenging problems for enterprise customers. You'll lead complex enterprise pilots and assist with deployment of our solutions to ensure success. Your responsibilities include meeting with current customers, understanding their current usage while expanding into new upsell and cross-sell opportunities, discovering requirements, fielding technical questions, and demonstrating capabilities.

The ideal candidate should have a combination of engineering skills, an analytic mindset, and business savvy. Key responsibilities include understanding the current product portfolio and success criteria, working with Customer Success Managers to support trials and upsell/cross-sell opportunities, planning and managing product proof of concept efforts, developing sample use-cases and analytic demos, addressing critical analytical, technical, and operational issues, and driving user adoption across various use cases.

Qualifications include demonstrated success in a pre-sales role (preferred), experience in an analytical role (intelligence, military, cyber, business operations, etc.), ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel from deep geeks to top executives, and fluency in English and Japanese. Cyber security or threat intelligence experience is a plus, with a background in areas such as SOC/SIEM, Vulnerability Management, IR/Red team, or Threat Hunting & Research. Either product or operational experience is required, and willingness to travel at least 35% is necessary.
