Red 6, an innovative AR technology startup, is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to join their team in Denver. This role is crucial for their ATARS product, which enables synthetic air combat training. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-$125,000 and comprehensive benefits.

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and executing test plans for computer hardware and optical systems. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure hardware products meet specifications and are error-free. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a STEM degree, and preferably aviation domain experience. This position requires US citizenship for security clearance purposes and involves up to 10% travel. Responsibilities For Hardware Test Engineer

  • Provide on-site technical support for ATARS installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans for computer hardware and related equipment
  • Create test plans and equipment, implement and monitor test processes
  • Establish test tool requirements and record test results
  • Design test fixtures and test tools for design review and verification
  • Debug and test manufacturing issues at the factory
  • Interface with testing laboratories and suppliers
  • Work with engineering teams to design test interfaces for all products

Requirements For Hardware Test Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in aviation domain preferred
  • Proficiency with Python and C++
  • Strong understanding of test equipment
  • Command line and Linux experience
  • Must be able to commute to Louisville, Colorado
  • Must be US Citizen (for security clearance)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
