Redwood Materials is revolutionizing the sustainable energy sector by creating a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products. Founded in 2017, we're focused on making batteries more sustainable while reducing costs through innovative recycling technologies.
As a Chemical Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role across three main functions: developing new processes for recycling industry challenges, conducting R&D for future innovations, and providing technical support for commercial operations. You'll work at the intersection of chemical engineering and sustainability, leading projects from concept to implementation.
The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic thinking - you'll design and operate pilot plants, develop process flowsheets, conduct trade-off studies, and implement solutions at commercial scale. Your work will directly impact our mission to make battery recycling more efficient and sustainable.
We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and innovative thinking. Whether your background is in electrochemical processes like chlor-alkali and hydrogen electrolysis, or metallurgical processes like hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy, you'll find challenging problems to solve here. Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that's passionate about sustainability and making a real impact on the world's transition to clean energy.
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge recycling technology while contributing to a more sustainable future. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead R&D initiatives, and help scale our operations - all while working for a company that's at the forefront of the clean energy revolution.
