As a Firmware Engineer in their new product team, you'll be at the forefront of developing embedded systems that power their innovative recycling technologies. This role combines hands-on firmware development for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers with the excitement of working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities For Firmware Engineer, New Product

  • Help build new embedded firmware platform from scratch with focus on robust network communication
  • Design and implement frameworks for simulation and SIL/HIL integration testing
  • Design and deploy state estimation and power electronics control algorithms
  • Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers on system behaviors and diagnostics
  • Produce excellent software documentation
  • Contribute to collaborative startup culture and company milestones

Requirements For Firmware Engineer, New Product

Python
Rust
  • BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 7+ years of experience in firmware engineering with focus in power conversion
  • Proven track record in shipping new products at scale
  • Excellent proficiency in Rust or C and debugging embedded systems
  • Experience with digital protocols (SPI, CAN, Ethernet) and application layer protocols
  • Expert knowledge of microcontroller hardware peripherals and RTOS
  • Experience with CI/CD & test automation
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with reverse engineering CAN protocols
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage work in startup environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
